Pre-Licensing Requirements
Individuals who engage or conduct business as a real estate broker, real estate salesperson, property manager, or timeshare salesperson in Montana must apply to the Montana Board of Realty Regulation for licensure. The Board assures the basic requirements are met and evaluates the applicant for good repute and competency to transact business in a manner that safeguards the interests of the public. In the State of Montana, a person may not engage in or conduct business in the capacity of a Real Estate Salesperson until that person has received a license from the Montana Board of Realty Regulation.

Renewal Period: September 1 through October 31
Renewal Fee: $150.00
Continuing Education Requirements: Twelve (12) hours of continuing education annually through courses approved by the Board.
